Merry Eve of Christmas Eve

Can you smell it?  The Christmas trees, the hot chocolate, the pepper spray; it's truly Christmas time.  Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go off on a completely different subject for the rest of the post.

Well, I'm done with final exams and school is over!  Now I can tell all of you what I've been doing the past couple of weekends.

Every year on the first two weekends of December, I go Classics on Main (picture above for those who cannot make these connections).  During these first two weekends, all the shops that are on Main street are also open and everyone goes out and buys stuff.  There's no better way to explain the meaning of Christmas.  Of course with the drought going on in this area, some of the deer that you would see slurping the beautiful river are headless, all bones, and played with by my little brother.  Once again, merry Christmas.

At Classics, I have the opportunity to play my guitar for all of the people that come into the store!  I don't rock out, but I do have a collection of Christmas songs and other classical compositions (the 2nd best thing!).  Of course there's more of a motive than just "playing to make people happy" (who do you think I am?!).  I always set out a hat where people can put money in, and give them the puppy face.

Of course I am joking (that's a first) about the whole "get rich quick" scheme.  Playing Christmas music for all the rich "art loving" elderly people is a great way to share my gift with the town.  Unfortunately I could only attend the Christmas Stroll for one of the two weekends, but I still ended up making about $250.  Now I can feed myself for 8 months and 10 days off of McDonald's $1 menu.

Anyways, I want to wish everyone a Merry Eve of Christmas Eve.  For those of you who live under caves, Eve of Christmas Eve (or Evemas as it's more commonly known) was established today by me.  On this joyful holiday, which comes only once a year, it's tradition to drink hard cider (just put apple juice in the freezer) and eat sour cream donuts.  Children wake up early on this joyous holiday and wrap all of their presents under the tree with bright wrapping paper and wide eyes so that they can open them on Christmas day!  Instead of Santa Clause, parents tell their children about a multi-religious character "the headless Nut Cracker" that will give them prunes (because those don't turn into diamonds) if they don't wrap their presents fast enough.

On blog news, I want to thank everyone (my parents) for giving me over 2,000 views (o.k, maybe just me). I remember when I started this blog WAAAY back in March of 2008, oh how young I was.  And 2,000 views later, I'm still alive.  I'm as surprised as you are.  Also, I want to say thank you to all five of my followers (once again, my family) and for everyone else:  You will get prunes on Christmas (unless you follow the blog...).

Now the bad news: I do not have either one of my movies to show you guys.  Of course this is the "Holiday" post, so I put, I mean Santa Clause put something together for you all.

Thanks for throwing away five minutes of your life to look at mine.

If you have any suggestions for the blog, open your window and yell them out loud.  If you're lucky, I just might hear you.

A/V Club Christmas Party

Ladies and Gentlemen, my hypothesis is true!  You do not need alcohol at a party to make something go terribly wrong.  Of course, when I say terribly wrong I mean the kind of "terribly wrong" that makes an event so awesome.  What happened?  We (I won't point fingers) decided that it would be fun to play hide'n'go seek in the dark.  You know that the game is dangerous when you are running and you can't see anything around you.  In short, the game didn't last very long.

Fine, I'll give you the gory details: It was so dark that the dog and one kid ran into each other, and I ran into a fence.  Happy?  We preceded to stick with board games and "truth or dare".  I guess in the end, it was a pretty sweet party.  It was a white elephant party, and I'm pretty sure I got the lamest- I mean BEST present ever: an envelope filled with a bookmark, a plastic spoon, a free stamp and a clip.  Because I got the worst, I mean BEST gift, everyone felt bad and gave me a container filled with Japanese bath salt.  So I guess I got the "white elephant".

The thing that I find funny is that you can judge a kid by the kind of parties he/she goes to.  Of course it doesn't count if that person gets dragged to a party they don't want to go.  In my case, I go to A/V club (audio visual) parties.  For those of you who don't know me, now you do!  But just because it's a party for a club DOES NOT mean that it stinks.  You never know when somebody is going to fall and split open their pinky finger, or when some suspicious person comes out of the forest and starts to follow you (all inside jokes, but you get my point).  At the very worst nothing happens but there will always be free food, and an interesting thing about me is that I follow one simple rule with parties:

If there is food, Thomas is there, somewhere, and he is eating that free food.

Thanks for throwing away five minutes of your life to look at mine.

If you have any suggestions for the blog, open your window and yell them out loud.  If you are lucky, I just might hear you.

P.S(what does that even stand for?)- About my movie...
good news: it is done
bad news: it is a complete disaster

I might post it next time, but because of many factors, it's not very good.  If you are lucky enough to see it, just know that I didn't have all the time in the world to make it perfect and the finished product was NOT what I had in my head.

I am almost done with a no dialogue (not a silent) film that I might also be able to post.  More information next time...  (don't you love cliff hangers!?)

Those tiny things falling from the sky?

Did I forget to post on this blog last Saturday?  yes

Did I forget to post on this blog this Saturday?  sadly yes

BUT- Did I make up for it by providing you with this homemade video?  YES!

The main reason why I didn't post on the blog yesterday (excuses excuses...) was mainly because I was working on this stop action animation video.  It's not exactly professional, but it's blog worthy.

You might be wondering why I'm so happy (can't you notice my smile?).  The reason is because it rained!  Now, if you live in Mobile, Alabama, rain isn't something you rejoice about and post on a blog.  In Texas, there's not much raining going on in the Fall.  When the rain first hit my dry head, I was a little confused.  I thought it was a kid throwing water on me, but I was wrong.  Thank you rain.

I recently discovered that making a film inside a high school isn't as easy as it sounds.  You have an hour and thirty minutes in a class period.  Thirty minutes is dedicated to set up the shot, and mostly get stupid kids to not interrupt the scene.  Another thirty minutes is used to film that one little scene to get it just right and the last thirty minutes is used to put everything away.  We have five class periods to shoot this thing.

On that note, thanks for checking out my blog once again.  I think that it's a good idea to have these cool little videos before the post, just in case I don't have anything too interesting to talk about (i.e- rain).

Have an awesome week, and follow the blog if you haven't already.  If you have any suggestions for the blog, shout them out as loud as you can and maybe I'll hear some.

Adios Mofo

To tell you the truth I had no better title for this post.  I'm not really going to say anything about Rick Perry, but no matter how much I disagree with him, he makes a good exit.

After much thought, and meditation (I'm kidding, everything on this blog is just impromptu, I don't even know what I'm going to say next) I have decided that I will be active on this blog every Saturday.  I know I've had a reputation for starting traditions that I don't carry, but I really don't have time any other day.

So, What's new?  nothing.  I did not capitalize the 'n' because not much has happened since my last post.  But fortunately, my life doesn't have to be exciting to write a blog!  On second thought, it probably does.  On that note, why don't I give you a heads up on what's going on at my school!.

I have signed up for the Audio/Video Productions class at my high-school.  This is great for me, because making movies (short or long) interests me.  I love creating the story and using a camera to get it across.  Right now I am in the middle of my first project: "The Film Festival".  It may sound like this project is serious and film festival worthy, but it's mainly a team building project to get the feel for making a film.  It's basically a movie about a group of kids making a movie.  At first the teacher didn't like the idea of a movie of a movie, mostly because we'd need twice the materials to shoot the scene where we're making the movie, but after looking at our script he was o.k with it.  Hopefully this experience will help me for future projects, and I might post some stuff on this blog!

Anyways, hopefully everybody has an awesome Labor Day weekend and I'll see you next Saturday!

The 'S' word...

Well, it's that time of year again, time for staying up all night studying, last minute art projects, putting up with the kid that sits behind you in history flicking boogers in the back of your head; SCHOOL!  I promised myself I would refrain myself from saying that word the entire summer, but what the heck.  Luckily for me, my school starts at 9:30!!            so I thought

Yesterday I was on a five hour road trip back from Oklahoma, and I got a call from my cross country coach.  As I was listening to the voice mail, I thought I heard something unusual, so I listened again.  The words rang in my car-sick head:  "Be ready on Monday at 6:00-7:00 to start running!"  It was probably the afternoon 6:00, but  I was wrong and that wasn't the worst of it.  I called back to ask about the schedule, and it turns out that every Monday-Friday I'll be up nice and early running.  I love high school.

Well, I hope everybody had a great summer, and hopefully school won't consume all of my life.

Peek-a-boo!

This is my cat. She's on another adventure to the roof of my house. The funny thing with Lucy is that she loves to climb on the roof, but once she's up there she forgets about the getting down part. She has this look in her eyes that says "oh crap". It's that same expression you get when you realize you just forgot something, and in her case it was her memory of the last time this happened. I love my cat.

You know you've turned up your amp too loud when all the bugs living behind it crawl to a new corner. I played one string and at least fifteen bugs crawled out of nowhere. I was afraid they were going to the police to file a noise complaint.

The cool thing about having a blog on Blogger.com is that you can look at how many people have looked at your blog. You can also see which countries have viewed your blog. Of course, Americans have viewed my blog the most because we are the best at everything (except Women's Soccer). But, I want to say thank you to all 77 Russians for making this blog 77 views more popular!

Well I have nothing else to say, except for what I just said and what I am about to say.

Bye

Another day, another post

Did you know, that some bloggers (I think that's what they're called) post stuff on their blog everyday. Also, for some of those people that's their job. Here is their average work day:

-Wake up whenever.
-Turn on their computer.
-Play a couple of games, and look at cats on YouTube.
-Grudgingly go to work. Of course it takes them a whopping five seconds to "go to work".
-Add something to their blog, maybe a picture but if they're really talented they might add a video!
-Shut off the computer
-People actually look at their new material, and unknowingly give that person money

Of course this is an over-exaggeration, but some people make some o.k cash with their blogs. I highly doubt that one can make a living with it, but it's still money. Maybe I should add stupid content to my blog just to make tons of cash... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

But I digress

I am feeling very jealous of myself right now. Did I get a new electronic device? No. Did I get a girlfriend? Sadly no. Did I get anything at all? Technically yes; SUMMER! I get to wake up whenever, do just about whatever and I have forever to do whatever whenever (say that five times fast)!

For kids, having three months of nothing to do is called boring. For adults, having a week of nothing to do is heaven. Most of the summer (so far) I have been doing nothing. Don't get me wrong, because that would just be the end of all humanity if you got me wrong, I've done some pretty cool things over the summer, but on weekdays when the parents are working I've had some trouble entertaining myself.

I've visited exactly twelve web sites on "what to do when you're bored". I'm creative enough to run a blog, but I can't even entertain myself for a day? Well, thank you for pretending that you actually care what I have to say and making me believe that I have followers. If you haven't followed my blog, then maybe you should. It's not a virus or anything. In fact you don't even have to look at my blog, just follow it. please?

Well that's all folks!

Oh I almost forgot! Today's post was brought to you by the letter G.

Free Slurpee Day

As you probably do or don't know, today is free Slurpee day at most (if not all) 7/11 stores. Why? Because as you probably do or don't know, today is 7/11. Don't worry, it took me a while to get the joke. Of course you can only get a small cup for free and not a regular size, but a Slurpee is a Slurpee no matter how small and nonetheless I got a sugar rush.

I am feeling nauseous, and dizzy. I feel blood rushing to the top of my head, and I'm not even upside down. Was it that Slurpee? No! It was.... WRITER'S BLOCK!!!!!

Lets see, what to write, what to write, what to write... I wonder if I should just make up something, since it's not like you could tell if I'm lying or not.

It was 8:42 a.m, and I just woke up. I slept a little later then usual last night since I stayed up so late fighting off evil ninja cats. My fists were sore, but I couldn't let that disrupt my daily training. Sweat was pouring down my scowling face as I hit the punching bag over, and over again. Once one of my knuckles fell off, I decided that I was done with training. I sat down to eat, when suddenly...

nah. That's not even remotely realistic, but entertaining. I bet I could get some real attention on the internet with this kind of stuff (light bulb). Another thing that would probably make this blog more popular is if I stopped thinking out loud.

Thank you for reading this post, and if you don't think you want to visit the blog again I will leave you with a cliff hanger...

Some of my future posts, due to lack of good real life material, will be made up and hopefully more interesting. (but don't get your hopes up too high please)

But remember this is Just a Blog and you are Just a Person, unless you follow this blog then you are AWESOME!!!

illegally loving my country...

Mysterious title, right? If you are not from Texas, then you may have not heard about the burn ban that is in effect. In short, I couldn't burn down the neighborhood with fireworks this year. Unlike the title says I obeyed the law and instead of fireworks, I celebrated America by doing everything American. I spent some time on the lake, I ate a cheeseburger, I ate ice cream on a big waffle cone and last but not least I watched Star Wars.

Now that I'm done with the prologue (yes that wasn't even the beginning!!), I am deeply sorry for not posting anything on my blog for the past weeks or months. Actually, I'm not sorry. Now to the next order of business. There's really nothing else to say, except...

I got your hopes up didn't I? You must hate me right now. Have a great summer, and while your at it visit my blog again!

From the pond to the ocean.

Today was the last (half)day of school. It started with an easy Final Exam for Speech class, and ended with nostalgic memories and tears. Just kidding, it ended with me screaming "good riddance!". I have mixed feelings about leaving middle school. I definitely don't regret going to the middle school that I went to, but I would never in a long time go back. There were some good times I had there, but I am ready to go to high school.

Unlike my middle school, my high school will be just a regular public school. Now that I type that out loud (does that even make any sense at all?) it's not just a public school. I got accepted to their fine arts magnet program, so that should be good. When it comes to academics I'm not worried, but socially... I have some things to catch up on. I have been going to a school that is so small for the past four years that it is like a family, and in this context I don't mean it in a good way. I see the same people over and over and over and over and-you get the point. In short, I'm excited to go to high school.

This summer, I should have tons of more time to post on this blog something good for once. I will also (hopefully) have time to work on my California blog if I haven't forgotten it all already. Anyways, see you guys later (just kidding, I can't see you).

ESS

E.S.S, or simply End of School Syndrome. Unless you can pause time, or you are in Elementary school you can't escape it. The stress caused by E.S.S damages your nervous system, causing confusion, tiredness, and zombification. The only cure is summer. I, being the end of the year, have E.S.S and I don't like it. It almost feels like I have the entire world on my shoulders, but I only have two weeks left so there's hope.

Anyways I have a science final this week, so I will have to make this the shortest post of ALL TIME!!

Drug dealers

One thing that most of us can agree to is that drug dealers aren't the greatest people to have for neighbors. Now I'm most likely wrong about this accusation, but since I have nothing else to rant on about; There are some sketchy people that live a certain distance away from my innocent house (just in case they're reading this), but anyways they seem like drug dealers. Now you can comment (I don't know if you can on this blog) about how I come to conclusions too fast and that I am stereotyping innocent people that just happen to carry around zip-lock bags full of flour and sell it to other innocent people, but it would be best to think these things in your head because you are wrong (period).

Well, it's getting close to the end of school (that's good!) which means that finals are coming (that's bad). Fortunately I have a month before final season, but it's kind of scary to think of a year's worth of notes and questions all on one test. But if I can survive until the end of school, then it's High School. I'm pretty excited.

Anyways, don't deal (or "do" for that matter) drugs or a fourteen year kid will see you sell them to your idiot customers from his little brother's bedroom window. Really? Did they teach you anything?

P.S- I have absolutely nothing else to tell you in this pointless post. Bye

Hanging out with St. Patrick

You think you're safe in your house, behind your computer, with your coffee, but you're not. I will find you, and when I do... I will pinch you because I know you're not wearing green. I will...

Anyways, on a happier note, happy St. Patrick's day! Well, I don't think that I will be doing much to celebrate the occasion. I guess because this holiday tends to be more drinking then celebrating leprechauns and rainbows and stuff like that. At least where I live. But I could be wrong.

Hopefully today I get to see some free music tonight (The Strokes). Ever heard of them? Gary Coleman, Conrad Bain, Todd Bridges? Yeah, my jokes are pretty bad.

Well, I hope everybody has a great St. Patrick's day, and enjoys their spring break.

Five days in California (Parents Not Included)

After much thought and debate with myself (it only lasted for four seconds), I have decided that my trip to California is too awesome for its own post on this blog. It deserves it's own blog! So, as I have just hinted to you, I have another blog in honor of my five days off of stress. If you want to check it out, I'm still adding on (There will be at least five or six entries), but by the time you are finished reading what I've got so far I will have made another post. If you want you can follow that blog and tell your friends about it.

What, you want a link to it? Oh, I forgot, you guys can't read my mind. Well here it is:

HAPPY 1000 VIEWS!!! (and pi day)

I can hear the eye of the tiger playing in the background, the crowd cheering, and I can see a pool of sweat on the ground. All of these things are fake, but the 1000 that I saw on the top of my blog wasn't. It was a complete coincidence that I was the 1000th viewer. Sure, I might have hit the re-fresh button 900 out of the 1000 times, but it's the people that actually look at this blog that made this possible. Thank you. I would also like to thank the academy, and my agents for spending endless time doing pointless things that I am to lazy to do for my money, and last but not least: THE RE-FRESH BUTTON!!

And other news; today (3/14) is pi day. The long awaited day where you finally have an excuse for acting like a nerd and eating pi at the same time! 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510

These are the 50 or so digits of pi that I have memorized. You can now tell your friends that I have no life.

Speaking of not having a life, I got a Facebook! You can be my friend, or you can poke me (what the heck is the point of that anyways), or you can even play Farm Ville with me! Just Kidding.

IN THE NEXT EPISODE: Thomas goes to California and tells his story: Will this post actually be INTERESTING? Will it gain many followers? Will Thomas ever finish this current post?

Stay tuned, and all of your questions will (probably not) be answered!

Next Week

Hello people. I am here to inform you that next week I will be in San Francisco! You can do one of two things: Hit the screen of your computer out of pure jealousy, or you can wait until spring break. Why? Well hopefully I will have a post on my awesome adventures! I will be in San Francisco for 5 days (Mon-Fri) and I will do almost everything a tourist can do.

Another thing that I will talk to you about is my "1000 views party"! Unfortunately I can't tell who would be the 1000th viewer, but I will at least know when. So hit the re-fresh button! What kind of party will this be? (get ready to be super disappointed) a post saying "yay 1000 views".

Well, back to being bored I guess.

stress level: Maximum

Hello. Have you ever felt so stressed about something, or somethings, that you decide to blog about it? Well, as you can see, I have. Multiple times. Oh yeah, happy presidents day! Everybody has a day off of school!! except me. I guess the light in this is that my Latin class gets to see "The Eagle".

Now that I am done whining to you about my problems, let me here yours! Unfortunately, I don't care. Even if I did, I can't even here you. You can scream at the computer all you want, and the only thing you will accomplish is freaking out the neighbors.

Now that I am done whining about your problems (that I don't care about), I just want to let you know that I put up a new poll! It will be going on until April second. The question is simply, "what is your favorite thing?". The only thing is, I give you only five choices to chose from. Communist? Stop complaining.

Just make sure to participate, or I will have been the only one to vote. That's pretty embarrassing. Also, make sure to follow this blog. It's as easy as clicking on that shiny button that says FOLLOW, and signing in to your Google account. Another advantage is that I won't come after you in your sleep!

Well, thanks for looking at this post. I should come out with another one soon. And if you're lucky, there will actually be stuff worth looking at.

MLK Day and other great stuff.

Hello. I can't really think of any other introduction to start off this post. Anyways, as most of you probably know (or not) this Monday (January 17) is Martin Luther King Day (don't you just hate these parenthesis?). And so I have a day off of school to remember the King, not Elvis but the other one. Also it's an extra day to harass you peoples on this blog!

I don't know if you have read earlier posts (of course you haven't), but my school is going to have foreign exchange students from China. I think that they are from Shenzhen and I think that they are at the Airport right now. The funny thing is, it took so long for the Government to make sure that everything was safe and bomb-less. From what I heard, they weren't too sure if our school wasn't a terrorist organization. This is a good thing that they are concerned about foreigners coming into our country and our safety, but I couldn't imagine my headmaster handing me a bomb. Ever.

Moving on to the same topic, I can't wait to indulge more into Chinese culture. The only downside is that the Chinese will most likely take over our MathCounts team. "I didn't mean to take up all of your sweet time; I'll give back to you one of these days."

Did anyone catch that? The lyrics from Voodoo child? Jimi Hendrix? You know what, NEVERMIND!

-T-Dawg (did you know that you could follow my blog? of course you didn't.)
